How do I set a specific Notifier to notify me according to a specific criterion?
A:
The Smart Notifier is an IncrediMail Premium feature which enables you to designate a specific Notifier for incoming email according to certain conditions, such as the person sending you the email or the incoming email priority.
To configure your Smart Notifier,
follow these simple steps:

In the IncrediMail main window, click the 'Notifier' button (marked in red).

At this point, the 'Notifier' dialog opens. Click 'Smart Notifier>>' (marked in red) to open the 'Smart Notifier' section.

To add a new 'Smart Notifier' condition, click 'Add' (marked in red). Note that if this is the first time you use the 'Smart Notifier', the 'Add Smart Notifier Condition' dialog will pop-up automatically.

The following instructions will help you define your Smart Notifier according to the condition you choose:
The Select a Condition field will offer you five conditions to choose from:

When an email arrives from a specific email address - if you want to be specially notified when mail sent from a certain email address is received.

When an email is sent to a specific account - if you want to be specially notified when a certain email account configured on IncrediMail has received new mail.

When an email arrives with a certain priority - if you want to be specially notified when a certain email has arrived with a certain priority (i.e., high or low).
-
When an email is sent to a specific email address - if you want to be specifically notified when a certain email address configured on IncrediMail has received mail.
-
When an email arrives from an unapproved sender - if you want to be specifically notified when mail sent from an unapproved sender is received.
Note: When there is more than one condition, the condition order is important. When more than one email arrives, the first condition to apply will determine which Notifier will be shown. Click here for instructions on changing conditions order.
A. When an email arrives from a specific email address

In the drop-down menu in the first section, select 'When an email arrives from a specific email address'.

In the second section (marked in red), enter one or more email addresses that you want to be specially notified about.
Note: Click 'Contacts...' (marked in blue) to select email addresses from your IncrediMail Address Book.

In the third section, select the Notifier that you want to use when email from the email addresses you added in the second section arrives.

Click 'OK'.

The condition will be added to your Smart Notifier Conditions list.
B. When an email is sent to a specific account

In the drop-down menu in the first section, select 'When an email is sent to a specific account'.

In the second section (marked in red), select a specific account configured in your IncrediMail. Whenever this account receives email, you will be notified.

In the third section, select the Notifier that you want to appear whenever new mail arrives to that account.

Click 'OK'.

The condition will be added to your Smart Notifier Conditions list.
C. When an email arrives with a certain priority

In the drop-down menu in the first section, select 'When an email arrives with a certain priority'.

In the second section (marked in red), select either high or low email priority.

In the third section, select the Notifier that you want to appear whenever new mail arrives to that account.

Click 'OK'.

The condition will be added to your Smart Notifier Conditions list.
D. When an email is sent to a specific email address

In the drop-down menu in the first section, select 'When an email is sent to a specific email address'.

In the second section (marked in red), enter one or more email addresses. You will be specifically notified when email is sent to the email address you enter.
Note: Click 'Contacts...' (marked in blue) to select email addresses from your IncrediMail Address Book.

In the third section, select the Notifier that you want to appear whenever new mail arrives to that account.

Click 'OK'.

The condition will be added to your Smart Notifier Conditions list.
E. When an email arrives from an unapproved sender

In the drop-down menu in the first section, select 'When an email arrives from an unapproved sender'.

In the second section, select the Notifier that you want to appear whenever new mail arrives to that account.

Click 'OK'.

The condition will be added to your Smart Notifier Conditions list.
Managing your Smart Notifier Conditions:
-
Click 'Add...' (marked in red) to add a new Smart Notifier condition, 'Modify...' (marked in blue) to edit change an existing condition and 'Delete...' (marked in green) to remove a condition you no longer need.

When you have more than one Smart Notifier condition, the order is very important, as the first condition that applies to that email determines the Notifier shown. Change the order of the Smart Notifier conditions by selecting a condition and clicking 'Move Up' or 'Move Down' (marked in purple) to move the condition up or down respectively.
